Faith is not just a word; it’s the very essence of Christianity. Without faith, it is impossible to please God, as stated in Hebrews 11:6. It is through faith that we connect with our Creator, and it is by faith that we aspire to reach heaven. Faith is the key to unlocking God’s promises and living a life that honours Him.
Faith: The Fuel for Your Journey
Whatever you aspire to be in life, it requires faith. The Scriptures are clear—believing in God’s Word is crucial to achieving your dreams and fulfilling your purpose. When faith is absent, fear takes its place. Fear of failure, death, illness, and loss can paralyze us. But faith is the antidote to fear. Life’s journey is not always smooth; it’s often bittersweet. However, your faith in your Heavenly Father will help you endure even the toughest trials. It may sound, cliché but it is so true. Life challenges seem smaller when you know that there is light at the end of the tunnel and that’s how I survive every challenge in life.
Holding on to Faith: A Personal Testimony
Someone once asked me, “What is the one thing you will never let go of in life?” My answer was simple: “My faith in God.” It is the one thing that keeps me going, my spiritual fuel. Whenever I’m fed up, when things don’t go as planned, and when I feel like giving up, I hear my Heavenly Father whispering, “Just hold on a little longer.”
Writing this brings tears to my eyes because my journey with Christ has had many moments when I wanted to give up. The challenges and trials I faced made me question my faith. I was disappointed when the one thing I believed God for didn’t come to pass. I started doubting the Scriptures, and every time I forced myself to pray, tears flowed down my face. It was one of the most difficult times in my life and it was extremely hard for me to talk about how I was feeling spiritually. But I realized that God doesn’t always do what we want, but He always does what is best. Trusting Him, even when things don’t go your way, is essential and shows how mature you are in the faith. It’s only kids that remain upset when things don’t go their way. It may not always be easy to accept God’s no, but it’s necessary.
“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all.” — Psalms 34:19 (NKJV)
When you truly believe in Psalms 34:19, worry fades away. We often worry too much, thinking it’s our responsibility to provide for ourselves and solve issues. But God has assured us that He will take care of us. Your relationship with God should be so intimate that you feel confident asking Him for what you desire. If your earthly father can give you good gifts, how much more will your Heavenly Father provide? I am not making this up, it’s biblical, read Luke 11:11-13. He has promised to take care of us, but it’s up to you to believe it!
Faith in Action: Experiencing God’s Power
It is known that Jesus didn’t perform many miracles in Nazareth because the people lacked faith. Your faith determines how much you receive from God. Many are not walking in their full potential because they lack faith. They belittle themselves and the power of God, leading to stagnation and a lack of progress in their lives. They are afraid to take that bold step of faith to start the business or pursue the dream God has placed in their hearts. If Abraham had not gone to the unknown land, he might never have become the father of nations (read Genesis 12).
At the end of the day, every believer should be known as a man or woman of faith.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” — II Timothy 4:7 (NKJV)
Faith is not just a concept; it’s a lifestyle. It is the foundation of your relationship with God and the key to unlocking His promises. So, do you really have faith in God? Because, in the end, that is all that matters.
Amazing piece. Keep it up
Thank you dear Dani!
God bless you for this message. The bible makes us to understand that if we have faith as a mustard seed you will tell this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.
That’s why it soo important to have faith in everything you do.
